Heading Home

This is a busy week what with birthday, closing the boat and packing a few necessities for the trip home. Also, busy with a few legal matters that must be dealt with during the month as our good lawyer Joris KlompĂ©´ will be proceeding with Euroship later this month.

We are including a few pictures from our trip to this present location. We enjoyed much along the way and have found such a pleasant summer home for Forty Roses III. Last evening, we joined our neighbours aboard their boat for dinner. Phillipe is an artist and his wife Valerie and little boy Lucien made us feel so welcome we were overwhelmed. Our very poor French was given a rigorous practice and they had kindly included Phillipe’s older daughter who had come from Paris to "help" with the English-speaking Canadians. It was such a lovely evening. Little French boys love toy cars too and Lego and giving hugs. We do also know that he loved the raspberry cake we took along and we suspect you would too.

Train to Schiphol on the 7th where we meet our good friends Hans and Joke for dinner and overnight there. Then on the 8th an Air Canada flight to Toronto. Home to the lake on Friday,  once we have gathered some groceries etc. It will be good to be home and see family and friends again and catch up on all the news. We will suspend the blog until we return and begin our adventures once more. We had what could be termed a difficult winter, but when we assess the 9 months it's been an experience like no other. We have met so many wonderful people, seen and faced so many challenges, that we count ourselves very fortunate. We look forward to our return which may possibly be in a few weeks given our visa requirements.

Not our car nor our bags but we love it!
